Boris Karloff Charitable Foundation

About the Foundation

The Boris Karloff Charitable Foundation (BKCF) is a UK grant-giving charity focussing on charities that support the performing arts and cricket.

BKCF trustees meet once a year in March to review the applications and distribute the income of the charity in April.

History

The Foundation was established in 1985 in honour of the iconic actor Boris Karloff (1887-1968), who became internationally famous for his sympathetic and chilling portrayal of the monster in the classic horror film Frankenstein (1931).

Boris was passionate about the performing arts and cricket. The charity was established to reflect both, awarding grants to charities in these areas in England, Wales, and Scotland.

Grant Making Guidelines

BKCF only supports grants to other registered UK charities. If you are not a UK charity, we cannot consider your application.

Specifically, we support charities with a focus on the performing arts and the promotion of cricket.

Charities or programmes with specific focus towards the local community.

Support smaller initiatives within a larger organisation targetting children, teenagers, under-priviledged and disabled.
